To even begin to understand end-time events, one needs to first understand prophecy and how it works. The best way to learn how to interpret prophecy is by examining Old Testament prophecy that everybody agrees has already been fulfilled and see how it was written. The prophets used prophetic shop talk. We’ll examine how they worded things, see if there is a pattern, and then apply it as a test case to Jesus’ prediction of the destruction of the Jerusalem temple (Mt 24).
