Description
Families are the building blocks that make up the church. Weak families make for a weak church. It is essential for couples to understand God’s plan for how husband and wife relate to each other as well as how they should bring up the children God entrusted to them.
This series explores what the Bible says about family relationships (husbands, wives, children). Our aim is to encourage and strengthen marriages by looking at the biblical roles for husband/wife. There is also a lesson on child training. Topics covered: Marriage Foundations, Spirit-Filled Submission, Respecting Husbands, How To Love Your Wife, Children: Obey!, and The Father’s Role in Child Training.
Each lesson comes with a Discussion Guide to help you lead the session, plus a question sheet to distribute in advance or at the meeting.
You can also hear an edited version of each lesson being taught using the teacher’s notes here.
Our approach is decidedly complementarian, and in keeping with the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
(To learn how to better lead a Bible discussion, take our short, one-session course).
